in action My friends and I have been working on a project in blender for the last few weeks, and finally got it done and uploaded. The video is of the first person, camera placed perspective version of our project. To be able to view the project properly, you will need to download v1.5.0 of the blender 2.8 preview (There are also newer versions of blender on blender2.79/2.8preview/2.79preview but these have not been tested so far). It took a lot of time in blender to figure out how to position, light, camera and move things around. We hope you enjoy the project and it gives some ideas on how to improve your own work! Overview of the project: The story starts with a person walking in an open set of rooms on a fictional planet. When walking into a room, a scene is loaded. There are two to three'stories' that are present at a time in the same room, which follow the characters journey into that room. When a character moves into a new room, a scene is loaded and the new character is placed in the scene. The camera is placed with a fixed perspective, and the rooms have been designed to be collapsible, so that as you enter a new room, a new scene is loaded and a new character becomes active. There is a transition effect from the last scene to the new scene. This has been achieved by having a set of child transforms, which are applied to the camera, when transitioning from one scene to another. By rotating these child transforms, a perspective shift can be achieved. Each scene has a different set of objects in it, but all scenes have the same set of characters and are arranged in a set order of scenes. Every time a new scene is loaded, the order of the scenes are rearranged, so that the progression through the scenes is maintained. It is possible to have a number of characters in the same scene, but in the transitions between the scenes, they only appear in one scene
